Our lead genealogist and family history researcher is Andy Douglas BA (Hons.), MSc., ACMA, MCMI. Andy completed a postgraduate certificate and then a diploma in Genealogical Studies at the University of Strathclyde. In 2011 he completed a master’s degree in the subject, and is a part-time tutor at the university for the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in genealogical, palaeographic and heraldic studies.
He is a Qualified Genealogist and abides by the professional code of the Register of Qualified Genealogists..
Originally an accountant, Andy brings a forensic and methodical approach to genealogical research. Based in Reading, to the west of London, there is quick and easy access to the National Archives in Kew, the British Library and London Metropolitan Archives.
